The Heart Play is a play about a woman trying to accept the end of her life after being denied a heart transplant, and her three sons attempting to get her a new heart anyway. (View this play on the New Play Exchange.)

Synopsis: April Hagen doesn’t qualify for the life-saving heart transplant she needs. While she’s accepted that, her three sons haven’t. In fact, they’ve set out on a plan to steal her a new heart and perform a DIY transplant in the living room of their childhood home.

Production History: The Heart Play is receiving a staged reading with Monstrous Little Theatre Company in August of 2018.
